VolunTours™
incorporates strategic relationships with the travel industry,
destination management companies, and community service organization.
VolunTours™ utilizes the Internet to help corporations,
groups, associations and individuals from around the world find
local, national and international volunteer/community service
opportunities. These travel opportunities are organized and managed
by destination-specific nonprofit and public sector organizations.

VolunTours™
activities will be planned and orchestrated by San Diego Cares,
a non-profit affiliate of the international volunteer planning
organization City Cares. San Diego Cares will recruit, provide
training, and coordinate VolunTour activities for individuals
and families seeking a variety of community service projects in
the San Diego & Tijuana/Baja region. Since 1992 San Diego
Cares has developed community service & volunteer opportunities
with Regional non-profit organizations to accommodate its almost
1500 members. Specializing in projects for executives and those
with busy lives, this organization has developed weekend and evening
options that are interactive & experiential while maintaining
a high level of respect for time constraints.
Relationships
are the key to success for VolunTours™ and our members.
San Diego Cares, through its existing relationships and long-standing
track record of service, will expand the network of agencies and
non-profit organizations to readily meet the needs of VolunTourists.
Whether it's 11am on a Monday morning or 5pm on a Sunday afternoon,
VolunTours™ will be ready for you, your family, or friends.
